You could almost miss this hidden Gem of a walk. Tucked away in a small no through road in Bush Hill, is Quakers Walk. The walk provides access from north to south of Bush Hill by foot only. This quaint walk has eight houses of mixed type from Towers to Flintstone style bungalows. This is where we have purchased this ageing bungalow which is being pulled down to make way for two new family homes. These new houses will provide a welcome face lift to this quiet little road.. Theses two new five bedroom houses are a stones throw away from Bush Hill golf course and only a fifteen-minute walk or four-minute drive to Enfield Town shopping centre and Enfield Train station. Walkers and dog owners alike can enjoy the walks through the golf course which leads to Enfield Town Park which has the New River reservoir running through it. The park also hosts an annual 5th of November fireworks display and fates.
The two new houses are designed in a traditional style using high-quality construction materials to harmonize with the existing properties within the surrounding area. Similarly, the scale, massing and window proportions have been carefully considered in order to satisfactorily relate to the architecture of the adjacent houses making Quakers Walk a more cohesive experience.
The majority of the other dwellings in Quakers Walk, and neighbouring Bush Hill, are predominantly large, detached, 1930’s built houses of traditional appearance, on generous
plots with mature gardens including established trees. There is a unique converted water tower at the southern end of Quakers Walk which is also noteworthy.
